Brembo Expands Motorsports GT and Touring Product Range

INDINANAPOLIS, Ind., (December 6, 2018) – Brembo will be showing their all-new TCR caliper and an innovative 390mm front rotor with improved ventilation at the Brembo exhibit (#3631) at the PRI Show to be held at the Indianapolis Convention Center, December 6-8. In addition to the new TCR caliper and rotor, Brembo will display its full line of motorsport braking components at PRI 2018.

Brembo, the world leader and acknowledged innovator of brake technology, adds to its range of racing discs with a new 390mm front rotor featuring an innovative ventilation system specific for GT applications. The advanced venting design, which increases the total number of vents from 72 to 84, and the related optimized geometry, define an innovative “no-constant” width ventilation channel through the radius of the disc (patent pending).

Thanks to this new technology, heat exchange efficiency improves up to 15 percent without a weight penalty. Brembo is also introducing the all-new 6-piston TCR front caliper, machined from an aluminum forging and designed to fit up to 390mm discs.

Brembo TCR Caliper

The new TCR front caliper follows the specifications of racing calipers already available in Brembo’s wide range of motorsport braking components. This new caliper has been designed to be stiffer than the previous generation and will accommodate thicker brake pads up to 25mm. It is also suitable for both sprint and endurance races.

Brembo’s attention to the constant evolution of GT cars is confirmed by its introduction of a new range of 6 and 4 piston forged monobloc calipers. The M6 and M4 calipers ensure reliable performance and a significant reduction in weight compared to previous versions. They also feature an extreme and innovative design with geometries conceived to make caliper and pad cooling even more efficient.

The 6-piston M6 front caliper is available with different hydraulic combinations and it allows the installation of discs up to 390mm diameter and 35mm thickness, as well as pads up to 30mm thickness. The caliper is also available with a fixed bridge, that guarantees better stiffness, or with an optimized removable bridge to allow quick pad changes.

The 4-piston M4 rear caliper is available with or without fixed bridge and with two different mounting centers. The caliper allows the installation of discs up to 360mm diameter and 32mm thickness, as well as pads up to 26.5mm thickness.

These innovative calipers join the expanding range of Brembo products and guarantee interchangeability with current parts already on the market.
