Corrections Policy

Hagman Media publications correct factual errors promptly and transparently. We take accuracy seriously and treat every corrections request as a priority.

What we correct. We correct any factual error — incorrect figures, misstated specifications, wrong dates, misattributed quotes, misspelled names, inaccurate technical descriptions, or any other claim that does not match the verified source material. Updates that reflect new information after publication are handled separately as updates, not corrections.

How to request a correction. Email [email protected] with the article URL, the specific claim you believe is incorrect, and the source supporting the correct information. Corrections requested by named sources, subject companies, or industry professionals are reviewed within one business day. Corrections requested anonymously are reviewed as time allows but are still welcome.

How corrections appear on-site. When we make a correction, we update the article, add a dated correction note at the bottom of the article describing what was changed, and preserve the original publication date. We do not silently edit factual errors out of articles. For significant corrections, we also update the social posts that linked to the original article.

Updates versus corrections. When new information emerges after publication that does not contradict the original article — additional details, follow-up announcements, related developments — we may add a dated update note rather than a correction. Updates expand the record; corrections fix it.

Retractions. In rare cases where an entire article is unsupportable, we retract it. Retracted articles remain at their original URL with the original content replaced by a retraction notice explaining why the article was withdrawn and when.

Editor. Corrections are reviewed and approved by Brian Hagman, founder and editor of Hagman Media.
