ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Brian Hagman founded The BRAKE Report in 2012 and has spent more than 20 years in the brake industry. He started his brake industry career in HR at Akebono Brake in 2004 and went on to build Hagman Search, a retained executive recruiting firm that works exclusively in the global brake industry. His dual role as both a recruiter and trade publisher gives him an uncommon level of market visibility — he knows the people, the companies, and the competitive dynamics that define this industry.
Through Hagman Search, Brian has partnered with major OEMs and suppliers to recruit top talent across the brake segment. That deep network is what makes The BRAKE Report more than a news aggregator — it’s a publication built on genuine industry relationships and firsthand market knowledge.
