Wilwood Engineering has announced the release of a high-performance scalloped rotor kit engineered specifically for winged Sprint Cars. This system is designed to deliver improved control and tunability while maximizing wheel clearance through a compact configuration.

Scalloped Rotor Specifications
The kit utilizes a newly designed 10.20-inch steel rotor featuring a scalloped profile to reduce weight and improve pedal feel. This component weighs 3.20 pounds and maintains the industry-standard $3 \times 5.00^{\prime\prime}$ mount pattern.
To ensure longevity and durability in racing environments, the rotor is finished with a black E-coat. This coating provides necessary protection against oxidation during storage and use.
Caliper and Mounting Architecture
Clamping force is delivered by the Wilwood DPS (Dynapro Single) two-piston caliper, which is known for its durability. The caliper weighs 1.7 pounds and features a Type III Hard Anodized shell on both the interior and exterior.
This anodization process significantly extends the service life of the component. The caliper also offers universal mounting options, allowing installation on either front or rear bearing carrier locations.
Compound Tunability and Pricing
Drivers can achieve precise braking performance by swapping brake pad compounds to suit different driving styles. The kit includes BP-40 composite metallic pads designed for high-temperature applications.
Additional tuning is available through optional BP-28 and BP-45 compounds. The MSRP for the complete Sprint Brake Kit (P/N 140-18222) is $351.05, while the individual rotor (P/N 160-18137) is priced at $117.11.
