TMD Friction is taking its Mintex Racing motorsport brake brand beyond the UK market, with seven compounds, 131 product references and coverage for more than 100 pad shapes now offered to drivers worldwide. The brand had previously focused on UK circuits and rallying, and the company says the international rollout responds to rising demand for value-oriented performance braking among racers, track day drivers and performance enthusiasts.
Highlights
- Seven specialist compounds and 131 product references cover more than 100 pad shapes, according to the company.
- Three product tiers — Fast Road, M-Series and F-Series — span street-legal use through competitive racing.
- Mintex Racing complements PAGID Racing within TMD Friction’s motorsport portfolio, targeting amateur and club competitors while PAGID Racing serves professional series.
- Motorsport heritage dates to 1924, with the company citing involvement from club racing to Le Mans and Formula 1.
What Does the Mintex Racing Range Include?
The 2026 lineup is structured in three tiers designed to let drivers move up as their competition level increases:
- Fast Road: Enhanced braking for high-performance road cars; the company says the range remains fully street legal.
- M-Series: Developed for track day and club motorsport use.
- F-Series: Purpose-built race compounds for competitive racing environments.
TMD Friction positions competitive pricing, beginner-friendly compounds and the structured portfolio as the tools that help drivers and distributors identify the right product. The street-legal Fast Road line is intended to lower the barrier to entry for enthusiasts moving into performance driving. Application, compound and fitment details are available through the Mintex Racing site.
How Mintex Racing Fits Alongside PAGID Racing
Within TMD Friction’s motorsport portfolio, Mintex Racing serves amateur racers, track day drivers and performance enthusiasts, while PAGID Racing focuses on professional motorsport and top-tier racing series. The company says the two brands together cover the full motorsport spectrum, underpinned by TMD Friction’s engineering and racing experience.
The move follows TMD Friction’s relaunch of the core Mintex aftermarket brand earlier this year and the introduction of the current Mintex Racing compound range in 2024.
Matthew Greenman, Head of Global Motorsport, said: “Motorsport begins with passion, and Mintex Racing has always been about supporting drivers as they take their next step in the sport. Expanding into international markets allows us to bring our racing heritage, technical expertise, and accessible performance products to a much wider audience. Whether it’s a first track day, club race or competitive championship, Mintex Racing is designed to give drivers the confidence and control they need to keep progressing.”
The “Experience to Win” Positioning
The brand is organized around the promise “Experience to Win,” which the company describes as a philosophy that success builds through experience, confidence and continuous improvement. Mintex Racing pairs its racing technology with what it calls an accessible, passion-driven approach to help drivers progress on and off the track.
