PFC Brakes Named Official TCR Europe Brake Partner

PFC Brakes has been named the official brake partner of the 2026 TCR Europe Touring Car Series, introducing the Challenge PFC Brakes incentive program offering discounts and free pads for race-winning teams.

PFC Brakes has been named the official braking partner of the TCR Europe Touring Car Series for the 2026 season. The agreement introduces a structured incentive program for competing teams that choose PFC products.

Highlights

  • Challenge PFC Brakes incentive program offers a product discount to teams running PFC brakes in the series
  • Drivers competing for a PFC-equipped team will receive a free set of brake pads following any race victory
  • PFC also supplies brakes in IndyCar and the FIA TCR World Tour, where its friction materials have recorded race wins
  • The 2026 TCR Europe calendar spans six rounds across Italy, Belgium, France, Hungary, and Spain

TCR Europe Background

TCR Europe launched in 2016 and became a fully international series in 2018. It succeeded the FIA European Touring Car Championship/Cup as the premier touring car championship in the region. Teams retain the freedom to select their preferred brake supplier; however, the PFC partnership creates a commercial incentive to consolidate around a single supplier.

TCR Europe promoter Rubén Fernández stated that the partnership aims to keep racing cost-effective and reduce administrative burden for teams while aligning with a top-tier brand.

Challenge PFC Brakes Program

The core commercial structure of the deal includes two components:

  • Product discount for any team specifying PFC brakes
  • Free pad set awarded to a driver after each race victory, provided the team runs PFC equipment

Luis Carlos Maurel, director of PFC Brakes Global Motorsports, noted that the company’s friction materials have already produced results at the FIA TCR World Tour and TCR Europe levels. He described the program as an opportunity to give teams direct access to competitive brake technology under favorable conditions.

PFC’s Broader Motorsport Footprint

The company’s late-generation friction compounds have been developed specifically for high-cycle racing environments, where consistent thermal performance and pad longevity are critical factors.
