Knorr-Bremse Unveils CVS Service Platform at Automechanika 2026

Knorr-Bremse TruckServices heads to Automechanika 2026 with a new CVS Service Platform linking booking, diagnostics, and benchmarking tools, plus new trailer and bus braking hardware, remanufacturing, and retrofit programs.

Knorr-Bremse TruckServices will present a connected aftermarket package at Automechanika 2026 in Frankfurt am Main, occupying Hall 3.0, booths E91 and G98, from September 8 to 12, 2026. At the center of the display is the new CVS Service Platform, which links workshops, fleet operators, distributors, and service partners through shared digital services spanning the vehicle lifecycle. The company says its TRAVIS booking platform alone handled more than 1 million bookings last year, while the TruckServices Expert Network partner program has connected more than 1,100 workshops since launching in early 2026.

Highlights

  • CVS Service Platform combines TRAVIS booking, PleaseFix scheduling, WESP CV benchmarking, and Cojali diagnostics as independent or combined modules
  • More than 1,100 partner workshops joined the enhanced TruckServices Expert Network since early 2026
  • NexTT SyT7 pneumatic disc brake weighs less than 64 pounds (29 kg) in the 22.5-inch trailer class
  • SYNACT SyR7 bus disc brake delivers 30 kNm of braking torque with a new ProTecS 2.0 lining concept

What Does the CVS Service Platform Do?

Knorr-Bremse has spent recent years assembling an aftermarket service platform intended to connect workshops, fleets, distributors, and service partners, with individual components usable on their own or in combination. The TRAVIS booking platform lets fleets find, book, and centrally invoice road services including parking, charging, and cleaning. PleaseFix adds appointment and capacity management for commercial vehicle workshops and will be integrated with TRAVIS, extending the platform into digital repair and maintenance scheduling.

WESP CV supplies data-driven analytics and benchmarking, allowing shops to compare key performance indicators against similar businesses and target productivity, capacity utilization, and profitability. Diagnostics come through Knorr-Bremse’s partnership with Cojali: the Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics tool pairs Jaltest multi-brand vehicle diagnostics with original Knorr-Bremse functions, while Jaltest Telematics feeds real-time vehicle and operational data into predictive maintenance workflows. The build-out extends the digital aftermarket ecosystem the company outlined earlier this year.

New Braking Hardware for Trailers and Buses

The Global Scalable Brake Control (GSBC) modular platform is moving from original equipment into the aftermarket, bringing a widening range of compatible replacement parts, services, and diagnostic support. GSBC merges ABS and EBS into a single modular brake control system, which the company says reduces component count, weight, and system complexity while opening the door to highly automated driving functions. The Active Wheel Speed Sensor (aWSS) serves as a central component supplying wheel speed data to ABS, EBS, and driver assistance systems.

On the trailer side, the new generation of the iTEBS X electronic trailer braking system integrates braking functions, sensors, and control in a single architecture. It is supported at component level by the NexTT SyT7 pneumatic disc brake — which Knorr-Bremse describes as one of the lightest 22.5-inch trailer brakes in its class at under 64 pounds (29 kg) — and the NG4 EVO PRO combination cylinder, revised for improved protection against moisture and dirt.

For buses, the SYNACT SyR7 pneumatic disc brake pairs 30 kNm of braking torque with weight reduction and a revised service concept, using the ProTecS 2.0 lining for longer lining life. The Active Caliper Release System (ACR) targets wear and energy consumption, and the electronic parking brake ePBC handles engagement and release electronically, enabling comfort and safety functions during passenger boarding and exiting. For electrified bus platforms, the Rotary Vane Compressor covers low to high air demand; Knorr-Bremse is also extending its compressors to agricultural machinery.

Transmission Actuators and Cloud Compliance Tools

Growth in automated manual transmissions is driving aftermarket demand for clutch and transmission actuators, and the company is now offering concentric clutch actuators (CCA), dual-clutch valve units (DCVU), and related components, backed by service kits, technical documentation, and TruckServices Academy training.

Two cloud applications address software compliance. The Online Configuration Tool (OCT) and Software Update Management System (SUMS) automate configuration, diagnostic, and update processes in line with UNECE R155 and R156 requirements. Automatic data transmission to the cloud removes the need for workshops to manually report software changes to vehicle manufacturers.

Remanufacturing and Retrofit Programs

Knorr-Bremse has launched ESB REMAN, a Europe-wide repair service for electronic control units built on a network of specialized repair centers and standardized testing processes, using an ESB test bench developed by Cojali. The program sits alongside remanufactured EconX brake calipers — including a new ST7 variant for trailers — and replacement options for the EBS7 electronic braking system.

Retrofit offerings are also expanding. The Active Pad Release System (APR), a spring arrangement that pulls pads off the disc after braking to cut residual friction torque, will become available for SB7 bus applications and SM7/SL7 trucks. Retrofit kits for the TEBS G2 electronic trailer braking system allow older trailers to add electronic brake control, Roll Stability Program (RSP), load-dependent brake force control, and modern telematics and driver assistance integration.

Bernd Spies, Member of the Executive Board of Knorr-Bremse AG and responsible for the Commercial Vehicle Systems Division, framed the strategy around integration: “OE quality remains our promise to our customers and partners. Our products are synonymous worldwide with safety, reliability, and performance. Today, however, the decisive difference lies in the intelligent combination of high-quality products, diagnostic expertise, and digital services. In this way, we create sustainable added value for workshops, distributors, and fleet operators and help make them even more successful – true to our guiding principle, ‘Future Ready Aftermarket. Products & Services for Today. Solutions for Tomorrow.'”
