Knorr-Bremse Expands Digital Aftermarket Ecosystem for Trucks

Knorr-Bremse launches its TruckServices Ecosystem, a four-component digital platform integrating diagnostics, booking management, benchmarking, and road services to improve commercial vehicle aftermarket efficiency.

Knorr-Bremse has announced a comprehensive digital platform designed to support the commercial vehicle aftermarket. The TruckServices Ecosystem integrates four interconnected components to serve workshops, fleet operators, and dealers through data-driven services and automation tools.

Highlights

  • Four-component platform combines diagnostics, booking management, benchmarking, and road services into a unified ecosystem
  • Recent strategic moves include a joint venture with Dutch partner WAGH B.V. (WESP-Group) and acquisition of service portal TRAVIS
  • Target outcomes focus on increased transparency, streamlined processes, and data-based decision-making for aftermarket participants
  • Transformation strategy positions Knorr-Bremse as a digital solution provider rather than traditional component supplier

Platform Components

The TruckServices Ecosystem comprises four distinct offerings that work together to optimize maintenance operations and drive aftermarket digitalization.

Cojali provides multi-brand workshop diagnostics and telematics solutions. The system includes remote diagnostics capabilities aimed at improving vehicle availability and repair process efficiency.

PleaseFix functions as a cloud-based booking and capacity management system. It is designed specifically for commercial vehicle workshops to optimize workflows and facility utilization.

WESP CV (Commercial Vehicles) delivers data-based workshop benchmarking. This component enables workshops to identify opportunities for increased revenue and improved process efficiency.

TRAVIS serves as a digital platform for locating, booking, and paying for road services. Available services include parking, cleaning, charging, and repairs.

Industry Context

The commercial vehicle aftermarket faces multiple operational pressures including skilled labor shortages, rising operating costs, and evolving sustainability requirements. Knorr-Bremse’s platform approach addresses these challenges by connecting data and services across market participants.

Bernd Spies, Executive Board Member responsible for Commercial Vehicle Systems, stated that the ecosystem increases transparency and efficiency for workshops, fleets, and dealers while supporting sustainable fleet operations.

Strategic Implications

The ecosystem represents a continuation of Knorr-Bremse’s shift from component manufacturing toward digital services. This transformation opens new revenue streams while strengthening the independent aftermarket’s competitive position.

The open platform architecture enables intelligent networking among all market participants, providing faster service access and simplified operational processes.
