J.JUAN is celebrating 60 years of excellence in the motorcycle industry. Starting as a small operation crafting bicycle cables, it has grown into a global leader in hydraulic brake systems. In 1947, José Juan saw a need for bicycle parts and started producing brake cables in Barcelona. His small workshops quickly earned trust, laying the foundation for J.JUAN’s success.

By 1965, J.JUAN S.A. was formally established in Esplugues, near Spain’s top motorcycle brands. It became a trusted supplier for both bicycles and motorcycles, supporting iconic riders like Ángel Nieto.

The 1980s brought change as Japanese brands entered Spain. J.JUAN adapted swiftly, adopting advanced quality systems and expanding into markets like France and Italy, strengthening its global reach.

In the 1990s, J.JUAN revolutionized braking with braided hydraulic tubes. These improved performance and safety, supporting high-pressure ABS systems in motorcycles.

Today, J.JUAN equips over 1.4 million motorcycles yearly and serves more than 90 brands. Its innovations include semi-automatic clutches for BMW and hydraulic systems for MotoGP and Superbike racing. Beyond motorcycles, it powers high-end cars like Aston Martin and side-by-sides that dominate the Dakar Rally.

To mark this anniversary, J.JUAN unveiled a commemorative logo and planned year-long celebrations. With over 650 employees, it continues to push boundaries, earning awards and trust worldwide. J.JUAN’s future promises even more cutting-edge solutions for vehicles globally.
