ASK Automotive Limited reported consolidated total income of ₹1,361 crore (approximately $142.8 million) for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, a 52.1% year-over-year increase that the company describes as its highest quarterly revenue since listing. EBITDA reached ₹164 crore (about $17.2 million) and profit after tax ₹85 crore (roughly $8.9 million), both up sharply against the prior-year quarter. The Delhi-based supplier — India’s largest manufacturer of brake shoes and advanced braking systems for two-wheelers, with roughly 50% market share among OEMs — filed the unaudited results with BSE and NSE this week. According to ASK Automotive, 33.4 percentage points of the topline gain came from passthrough of higher alloy prices, offset by a 6.6% drag from the deliberate scaling-back of its Wheel Assembly business.

Braking Vertical Leads Segment Growth
The Advanced Braking Systems business grew revenue 48% year-over-year, while the Aluminium Light Weighting Precision Solutions segment rose 75% and Safety Control Cables gained 20%. Export revenue reached ₹39 crore (about $4.1 million) against ₹33 crore (roughly $3.5 million) in the year-ago quarter.
Chairman and Managing Director Kuldip Singh Rathee framed the quarter as a continuation of the company’s post-listing trajectory. “I am delighted to share with you that we had a strong performance in the first quarter in both revenue and profitability. This is the eleventh consecutive quarter of robust performance by us since listing of the Company,” he said. Rathee added that the company continues to outperform two-wheeler industry vehicle production growth.
Why Did EBITDA Margin Fall?
Margin compression traces to input costs rather than operations. EBITDA margin of 12.0% came in 176 basis points below the prior-year quarter, which the company attributes to what it calls an abrupt increase in alloy prices. Because the higher input cost passes through to revenue, it inflates the denominator in the margin calculation without a proportional earnings contribution.
Rathee said the effect should ease: “Volatility in alloy prices may affect margin percentages due to the denominator effect; however, with aluminium prices expected to remain benign in the coming quarters, we anticipate an improvement in our EBITDA margins.”
Capacity and Collaboration Updates
The company reports that its technical collaboration with Kyushu Yanagawa of Japan has been implemented at the Karoli plant, with first supply of high-pressure die-cast alloy wheels now underway to a Japanese customer. Management describes the Karoli facility as ramping up and the newer Bangalore plant as running at optimum utilization, crediting improved economies of scale for the quarter’s performance. A second captive solar plant in Rajasthan — flagged in the company’s FY26 results — is expected to become operational in Q2 FY27.
The capacity buildout follows a $4.2 million commitment to expand disc pad and brake shoe output announced earlier in 2026. ASK Automotive scheduled its analyst and investor earnings call for August 5, 2026.
