ConMet is expanding its North American aftermarket brake drum lineup with the launch of TruCast™ brake drums, a nine-part-number line covering front and rear configurations in 15-inch and 16.5-inch sizes for heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The Vancouver, Washington-based wheel-end and brake supplier says the new drums are engineered in-house to broaden coverage across steer, drive, and trailer applications. TruCast joins ConMet’s premium TruTurn® brake drum lineup, giving fleets and distributors a second tier within the company’s brake drum offering. ConMet says the drums are tested to meet FMVSS 121 — the federal air brake systems standard for heavy commercial vehicles — and applicable OEM performance requirements.
