The No. 96 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) EVO run by Winhere Origine Motorsport took double pole and double victory at the May 22–24 second round of the 2026 China GT Championship at Ningbo International Circuit, moving the team into the championship lead. Drivers Leo Ye and Bob Yuan completed the sweep across both Saturday and Sunday races. Winhere reports the team is running its WINHERE Black Series brake package, the same Chinese-manufactured race-grade product line carried by Winhere into the GT3 Pro-Am National class. The Winhere release positions the Ningbo result as a continuation of the team’s Shanghai season-opener form.

Ningbo Circuit and Race Conditions
The 2026 China GT field of 25 GT3 cars ran a Ningbo layout that Winhere describes as one of the most technically demanding GT circuits in the country, with 22 high- and low-speed corner combinations placing what the company calls extreme demands on aerodynamic balance, tire management, and braking stability. Saturday running was held in intense heat; Sunday saw sudden changing weather conditions. The combination produced extended heavy-braking duty and prolonged wheel-to-wheel competition through both races, conditions Winhere flags as the relevant operating envelope for the Black Series package.
Driver Lineup and Qualifying Result
Professional driver Leo Ye joined Winhere Origine Motorsport at Ningbo, pairing with Bob Yuan. Winhere notes the two drivers have claimed victories in major Asian GT competitions, including the Shanghai 8 Hours and Sepang 12 Hours endurance races. In Saturday qualifying, Ye set the fastest Q1 lap at 1:42.825 to take Race 1 pole, and Yuan posted a 1:43.892 in Q2 to take Race 2 pole. Combined with the team’s two poles at the Shanghai opener, the Ningbo result gave Winhere Origine Motorsport four consecutive pole positions to open the season.
Race Result
Across both races the No. 96 Porsche controlled the pace, the company reports, with Ye and Yuan sweeping both overall victories and the GT3 Pro-Am National class wins. The double-victory weekend coincided with Ye’s birthday on race day. Following the races, China GT’s official media team interviewed both drivers in the pit lane.
WINHERE Black Series Performance
Winhere reports the Black Series package limited brake fade under sustained heavy braking, high ambient temperatures, and high humidity, and delivered what the company describes as consistent, linear braking performance through both races. The company says the system also proved compatible during setup adjustments and held up in the later race stages, when tire degradation typically reshapes braking behavior. Winhere positions the Black Series performance as a contributing factor in the team’s double-victory weekend.
The Ningbo result follows recent recognition for Winhere on the aftermarket side, including the company’s two 2026 ACPN Content Excellence Awards for its product data programs. Winhere reports that the racing program is intended to validate Black Series technology through motorsport competition.
