ConMet Lands PACCAR SPM Leader Award for Sixth Consecutive Year

ConMet has earned PACCAR's 2025 SPM Leader recognition across wheel ends, castings, and plastics — the sixth consecutive year the commercial vehicle supplier has received Supplier Performance Management honors from the truck manufacturer.

ConMet has been named a Leader in PACCAR’s 2025 Supplier Performance Management program across all three of its product categories supplied to the truck manufacturer — wheel ends, castings, and plastics. The recognition, announced by PACCAR on March 23, marks the sixth consecutive year the Vancouver, Washington-based supplier has received SPM honors.

Highlights

  • ConMet earned Leader-level SPM recognition for wheel ends, castings, and plastics supplied to PACCAR in 2025
  • Sixth straight year the commercial vehicle supplier has received PACCAR SPM honors
  • SPM program evaluates suppliers on product development, operations, aftermarket support, and alignment with PACCAR business objectives
  • Recognition follows ConMet’s 2024 PACCAR 10 PPM quality award and its fourth consecutive SPM win in 2023

Recognition Across Three Product Categories

PACCAR’s SPM program measures supplier performance in product development, operations, aftermarket support, and alignment with the truck manufacturer’s key business objectives. The program is structured to reinforce collaboration and continuous improvement between PACCAR and its supply base, with the goal of driving performance gains and product innovation.

ConMet received Leader-level honors for each of its three PACCAR-supplied business units: wheel ends, castings, and plastics. The company’s PreSet and PreSet Plus hub assemblies have been standard on Peterbilt and Kenworth commercial vehicles for more than two decades, and ConMet also supplies structural castings and interior and exterior plastic components to the manufacturer.

Executive Commentary

“This marks the sixth straight year ConMet has received PACCAR’s SPM recognition, and that consistency is something we value deeply,” said Ramesh Ramanathan, chief operating officer of ConMet. “Recognition across plastics, castings, and wheel ends reflects the sustained focus our teams bring to quality, execution, and customer support.”

Brennan Gourdie, PACCAR vice president of global purchasing, said the award reflects supplier engagement with the program. “PACCAR is proud to honor the 2025 SPM award winners. Their performance in the SPM Program reflects the strength of our relationship and highlights their level of engagement. We greatly value their contributions to PACCAR’s success.”

Laura Bloch, PACCAR senior vice president, pointed to the broader value of supplier investment in quality systems. “We appreciate the commitment to quality, continuous performance improvement and investments these suppliers have made in supporting PACCAR,” she said.

Pattern of Quality Recognition

The 2025 SPM Leader designation extends a multi-year pattern of PACCAR recognition for ConMet. The company received its fourth consecutive SPM award for 2023 performance and was also honored with the PACCAR 10 PPM Supplier Award for 2024, which recognizes suppliers that deliver fewer than 10 defective parts per million across a full year of production.

ConMet, a division of Amsted Industries, supplies wheel ends, cast metal components, plastic systems, and active aerodynamic devices to commercial vehicle OEMs and aftermarket channels. Its products are standard on most heavy-duty vehicles in North America.
