Bendix Elevates Sroka to Top Role

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC (Bendix), a premier North American firm specializing in advanced safety and braking technologies for commercial vehicles, has announced the promotion of Piotr Sroka to President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This role expansion builds upon his duties as Chief Operating Officer (COO), underscoring Bendix’s strategy for growth and achieving its strategic long-term goals under the umbrella of its parent company, Knorr-Bremse, based in Munich, Germany.

Sroka has been serving as COO of Bendix since July 1, 2023, and officially started his additional roles on February 26, 2024. He continues his involvement with the Bendix Leadership Committee (BLC) and holds the title of President & CEO within the Bendix Executive Board, alongside Dan Tassinari, Bendix’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Vice President of Finance, Indirect Purchasing, and IT.

Prior to his tenure at Bendix, Sroka was integral to the Management Board of Knorr-Bremse SfN’s commercial vehicle systems (CVS) division since July 2020. There, he played a key role in leading the European CVS division, while also overseeing the global Air Supply & Drivetrain business and the Industrial Engineering and Indirect Purchasing unit.

Sroka’s career spans over two decades in the automotive industry, including a significant period at WABCO, where he ascended through various leadership positions. Notably, he was Vice President, Integration Management Office (WABCO-ZF), in Wrocław, Poland, before joining Knorr-Bremse in Munich. His early career involved roles in production and quality at several companies across the United States and Poland.

Bernd Spies, a member of the Knorr-Bremse AG Executive Board responsible for the CVS division, praised Sroka’s leadership qualities: “Piotr is a true embodiment of this notion. Sroka is well-qualified, holding two master’s degrees in Mechanics & Mechanical Engineering and Management & Production Engineering from the University of Technology in Rzeszów, Poland, complemented by an Executive MBA from the University of Economics in Stockholm, Sweden, and Kraków.
