ZF Aftermarket has released a major update to its TRW motorcycle brake pad lineup for the 2026 model year. The revised catalog adds over 1,000 new applications and nearly 40 new part numbers. The range now covers more than 7,500 motorcycle models, including growing coverage of electric two-wheelers and Chinese-brand vehicles.

  • 1,000+ new applications added to the TRW motorcycle brake pad catalog, along with nearly 40 new part numbers across all segments
  • Electric motorcycle coverage up 38%, now including models such as the BMW CE 04, Husqvarna EE-3, Kawasaki Ninja E-1, and Yamaha NEO
  • 12 copper-free friction compounds tailored to riding styles ranging from commuting to touring to sport use

Broader Model Coverage

ZF placed particular emphasis on rapid availability for newly launched models. Recent additions include brake pads for the BMW R 1300 GS/GS Adventure, Ducati V4/V4s Panigale, and Kawasaki Z 900. All pads — except those designed for pure racing — are ECE R90 homologated for road use.

Beyond traditional motorcycles, the TRW range also targets scooters, quads, and side-by-side vehicles (SSVs).

Electric and Chinese-Brand Segments

The electric motorcycle segment saw notable growth in the update. TRW’s coverage of electric two-wheeler models increased by 38%. The lineup now includes pads for the BMW CE 04, Husqvarna EE-3, Kawasaki Ninja E-1, and Yamaha NEO, among others.

Additionally, the catalog now includes aftermarket pads for vehicles from Chinese manufacturers. Several of these brands are marketed under traditional Italian names, including Benelli, CF Moto, Moto Morini, and Voge.

Copper-Free Friction Technology

The technical update centers on optimized friction materials designed for consistent braking across diverse riding and environmental conditions. The range includes 12 different friction compounds matched to specific riding styles and use cases.

TRW’s NRS backplate system provides a permanent bond between the friction material and backing plate, even at extreme temperatures. A dedicated formulation also reduces abrasion, helping keep wheels and brake calipers cleaner. All pad compounds are free of heavy metals and contain no copper.

OE Heritage and Aftermarket Availability

ZF noted that the TRW brake pad range draws on the company’s experience in safety-related original equipment systems. The broad catalog is intended to simplify parts ordering for workshops and distributors by consolidating coverage under a single brand.
