Allen’s Aftermarket Background
Allen brings more than two decades of leadership experience across the automotive aftermarket and the broader commercial market. Most recently she served as Vice President of North America Sales – DIFM (do-it-for-me) at Valvoline Global, where she held profit-and-loss responsibility for a major North American business and led a large commercial organization. According to the company, that role spanned the installer, service-center, dealership, and distribution channels.
Her career covers both B2B and B2C channels, including strategic account management, brand leadership, and profit-and-loss ownership across multi-channel environments.
“Michelle’s customer-first mindset, commercial acumen, and proven ability to lead high-performing teams will be instrumental as we build on Chris’s strong foundation and continue to grow our Independent Aftermarket business,” said Duncan Gillis, CEO of TERREPOWER.
Allen framed the move as a continuation of work already underway. “I’m honored to join the team and excited to work alongside our customers and employees as we build on the strong foundation Chris has established and pursue the next phase of growth,” she said.
A Planned Succession
Allen succeeds Chris Garner, who plans to retire at the end of the year. Garner joined the company in 2006, after it acquired Garner Electric the previous December, and went on to build its Independent Aftermarket Sales organization. During his tenure he expanded customer relationships and strengthened channel partnerships across retail and traditional channels, and helped shape the company’s go-to-market strategy.
TERREPOWER, formerly BBB Industries, is a sustainable manufacturer of aftermarket components for the automotive and industrial markets, with operations across North America and Europe. Allen’s hire follows the company’s appointment of Michael Boe as president of its Europe business in 2025.
“Chris has been a defining leader in building our Independent Aftermarket platform and shaping the way we serve our customers today,” Gillis said, thanking Garner for his tenure.
