Indian clutch manufacturer Setco Auto Systems has launched a brake disc product line spanning more than 200 part numbers. The range covers passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, and medium and heavy commercial vehicles from over 15 automotive brands sold in India. Setco is also targeting export opportunities in the passenger car and MHCV categories.

Product Specifications
The brake disc range is engineered to meet OEM specifications. Setco offers both ventilated and solid disc configurations to cover diverse vehicle platforms. The company says the discs are designed for quick fit and instant bedding, delivering effective braking from initial use.
Materials were selected for resistance to wear, warping, and corrosion. Setco stated the range is intended to deliver consistent braking performance and extended service life across varied operating conditions.
Market Context
India’s automotive aftermarket is shifting from drum to disc brakes across all vehicle segments. Stricter safety regulations and mandatory ABS requirements are driving this transition, along with increased demand for stronger braking performance.
The global brake disc market is forecast to nearly double over the next decade. Asia-Pacific leads both production and demand in the segment. Setco plans to leverage its existing OEM relationships and pan-India distribution network to capture domestic and export share.
