RTX Expands Spokane Facility to Boost Production

Collins Aerospace, a division of RTX (NYSE: RTX), has commenced the expansion of its Spokane, Washington, carbon brake production facility. This $200 million investment is set to increase production capacity and create new job opportunities in the region.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by local government officials, community leaders, industry partners, and Collins Aerospace leadership. The expansion will add 70,000 square feet to the facility, increasing its footprint by 50 percent. This will allow the site to better meet the growing demands of commercial aviation and military customers. Additionally, the project will bring approximately 80 new jobs to the Spokane area, further enhancing Collins Aerospace’s impact on the local economy.

The Spokane facility is one of three Collins Aerospace sites specializing in braking systems with DURACARB® carbon disk technology.
