CLECKHEATON, UK – Mintex has expanded its distribution network with the addition of a new stockist based in Northern Ireland, AC Components.

With an extensive range of car parts, AC Components is a one-stop motor factor, offering delivery within 20-miles of its base in Portadown. The distributor now stocks a full range of Mintex products including aftermarket brake pads, brake discs and accessories; with the full range covering 99.9 percent of the UK car parc.

Part of TMD Friction, Mintex benefits from the OE manufacturer’s €30m investment in R&D each year. As part of this extensive R&D program, Mintex has developed its own unique formulations to ensure all of its brake pads are 100 percent copper free.

Alwyn Megarity, director of AC Components, said, “The quality, performance and reputation of Mintex products makes the decision to stock them an easy one. With our ranges covering everything from wiper blades and bulbs to brake pads and brake discs our customers expect not only variety but quality. Mintex fits the bill completely and we look forward to seeing the positive impact the products will have to our customers and bottom line.”

Nick Hayes, UK sales manager at TMD Friction, said, “Mintex is a trusted brand with a well-established name within the industry. Our aftermarket braking solutions have a renowned reputation making them an attractive choice for stockists and factors. AC Components is one of Northern Ireland’s largest distributors which is a great result for the Mintex brand to expand its distribution channels further.”

With more than 100 years’ experience, Mintex provides a complete aftermarket braking solution for millions of cars around the world. Over this time, the company has consistently demonstrated a commitment to ongoing product development and is the name behind the brakes, keeping families and motorsport champions safe every day.
