Delphi, a brand of PHINIA Inc., has launched a new brake pad line for light commercial vehicles. The Professional+ range targets fleet operators and workshops. It features heavy-duty friction material designed for high-stop, high-load conditions. The company plans to phase in 58 SKUs throughout 2026.

Heavy-Duty Friction Formula Extends Pad Life
Durability is the core differentiator for the new line. Professional+ pads use a heavy-duty friction compound that delivers significantly longer service life. Testing on high-mileage platforms showed reduced wear rates. Additionally, the advanced formulation maintains low disc wear. As a result, the overall braking system lifespan is preserved.
The pads feature a distinctive blue backplate. A laser-etched, silver-painted shim carries the Professional+ branding. New packaging highlights key benefits including durability, comfort, and professional-grade design.
Workshop-Ready Features Cut Installation Time
Every Professional+ pad ships with a sachet of brake grease. Pre-fitted silver shims also come standard on all SKUs. Notably, Delphi includes shims even when the original equipment specification does not. These additions help workshops reduce installation time. They also improve brake performance by minimizing noise and vibration.
Coverage Targets High-Demand European Applications
The initial rollout covers popular LCV platforms across Europe. Supported vehicles include:
- Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Vito
- Ford Transit
- Volkswagen Transporter
- Fiat Ducato
- Iveco Daily
Together, these applications represent about 70% of the European LCV parc. The 58 SKUs will phase in progressively throughout 2026.
Warranty Reflects Validation Rigor
Delphi backs the Professional+ range with a 5-year or 50,000-mile warranty. This coverage applies to approximately 80,000 kilometers of use. The warranty reflects extensive validation, including dynamometer testing and real-world trials. It offers added protection for distributors, workshops, and fleet operators.
