Formula Regional and INDYCAR Developments
Motorsport environments serve as critical testbeds for thermal management and friction material durability, often directly influencing subsequent commercial vehicle architectures. Specifically, PFC Brakes provides the full brake package for the Tatuus T-326 F3R Gen 2 chassis. This platform supports the latest FIA Formula Regional championships. The chassis recently debuted in the Formula Regional Middle East (FRME) trophy, which featured races in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Qatar.
During this FRME season, Kean Nakamura-Berta won the Driver’s Championship and Rookie Cup. Consequently, his performance helped Mumbai Falcons Racing Limited secure the team title. Additionally, PFC Brakes is supplying several other racing series. These include FREC, GB3, F4 US, and F4 Brazil, among others.
In the INDYCAR series, the manufacturer recently introduced new INDY500 small-bore brake calipers. Engineers designed this product to remove drag and heat from the braking system, thereby maximizing straight-line speed. Following recent testing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS), drivers reported a stiff pedal and responsive brake feedback.
Short Track Innovations and TCR Europe Partnership
For the short-track market, PFC Brakes is currently developing four new caliper designs. Furthermore, the company released its highest friction pad formulation, the 41 compound, for the ZR94 caliper. This compound represents an upgrade over the previous 39 compound, offering improved heat tolerance and disc conditioning. It is now available for popular high-demand racing applications.
The manufacturer also detailed its 2026 supply agreements. The company continues its partnership with SRI Performance as an official NASCAR supplier. Internationally, PFC Brakes secured a new partnership with TCR Europe for the current season. TCR Europe has operated as a major touring car championship in the region since succeeding the FIA European Touring Car Championship.
Through the “Challenge PFC Brakes” program, the company provides incentives to TCR Europe teams utilizing its products. Specifically, participating drivers receive a product discount. Furthermore, any driver winning a race with PFC Brakes installed will earn a complimentary set of brake pads following the victory.
BMW Application Guide
Alongside motorsport updates, the company released a technical application guide for passenger performance vehicles. The BMW F & G Series Catalog details braking solutions for modern BMW platforms. This document provides specifications on pad fitments, rotor assemblies, and Track Day Kits.
