Hyundai Translead has introduced HT ReadyVue, a standalone monitoring system that detects whether a trailer’s air system has built enough pressure to release the parking brakes. The system joins two additional trailer visibility products — Trailer Blind Spot Monitoring and an upgraded HT LinkVue+ camera platform — as part of the company’s expanding trailer technology portfolio.
Highlights
- HT ReadyVue provides visual alerts when trailer air pressure is insufficient to release parking brakes, helping prevent tire flat spots caused by undetected drag.
- The system requires no truck-side modifications and works with both new and existing trailers.
- Trailer Blind Spot Monitoring adds real-time alerts for vehicles in limited-visibility zones during lane changes and low-speed maneuvers.
- HT LinkVue+ introduces AI-enabled object detection, height restriction identification, and interior cargo monitoring to the company’s 360-degree camera system.
HT ReadyVue Targets Preventable Brake-Related Damage
HT ReadyVue addresses a common but often overlooked fleet issue. When a trailer’s air system has not pressurized enough to fully release the brakes, continued operation can cause costly tire flat spots. The condition frequently goes unnoticed until damage has already occurred.
The system provides a visual alert to the driver, adding a layer of proactive monitoring. Notably, it operates as a standalone unit. It does not require modifications to the tractor, making it compatible with mixed fleets and existing trailer assets.
“These latest offerings solve real-world problems in a very visible way for our customers,” said James Oh, Director of Technology & Solutions Development at Hyundai Translead. “As with our other solutions, these are all designed to work with existing and new trailers.”
Blind Spot Monitoring Expands Driver Awareness
The Trailer Blind Spot Monitoring system detects vehicles on both sides of the trailer in areas with limited visibility. It delivers real-time alerts during lane changes and low-speed maneuvers. Like HT ReadyVue, it functions as a standalone system with no tractor modifications required.
For fleets managing brake safety and compliance, improved situational awareness reduces the likelihood of evasive braking events and related component wear.
HT LinkVue+ Adds AI-Enabled Detection
The upgraded HT LinkVue+ concept builds on the existing 360-degree surround view camera system. New AI-enabled capabilities include:
- Moving Object Detection: Identifies objects surrounding the trailer and provides driver alerts during routine operations.
- Object Height Detection: Flags height-related restrictions to help prevent overhead contact incidents.
- Interior Cargo Camera: Offers visual confirmation of cargo status for accountability and operational verification.
Expanded Integration Ecosystem
Hyundai Translead has added Lytx and Netradyne as integration partners for HT LinkVue, joining existing partners Platform Science and Samsara. These integrations allow trailer camera data to feed into fleet management systems already in use.
“By integrating HT LinkVue with the systems fleets already rely on, we’re helping extend capabilities across their operations,” said Cory Bogler, Senior Lead Technical Account Executive at Hyundai Translead.
The expanded partner ecosystem positions HT LinkVue+ as a scalable option for fleets that want trailer-side monitoring connected to their existing telematics infrastructure.
