Harley-Davidson Trikes Recalled for Brake Issue

Source: mcnews.com

PERTH, Australia – An official recall has been issued for Harley-Davidson Trike models sold in Australia from March 12, 2018 through to November 5, 2019.

There are 363 trikes affected by this safety issue that relates to possible faulty brake application by the electronically controlled EHCU, that might stem from a faulty rear wheel speed signal.

The CVO Tri Glide, Tri Glide Ultra and Freewheeler are all affected and owners should contact Harley-Davidson to have the fault rectified at their earliest convenience.

The electro-hydraulic control unit (EHCU) software may respond incorrectly to a faulty rear wheel speed signal by activating one of the rear brakes.

Unintended brake activation may increase the risk of an accident or injury to the vehicle occupants and other road users.
