ZF Launches CorExpedia for Efficient Part Returns

ZF Aftermarket unveiled its latest sustainable solutions at Automechanika Frankfurt 2024, with a focus on remanufacturing and the introduction of the ZF REMAN label. Key to its strategy is the CorExpedia platform, designed to streamline the return of used vehicle parts. These initiatives aim to reduce CO2 emissions and extend the lifecycle of automotive components, reinforcing ZF’s commitment to sustainability in the automotive aftermarket.

Key Highlights:

  • ZF REMAN label launched to highlight remanufactured products.
  • CorExpedia platform simplifies reverse logistics for part returns.
  • Remanufacturing helps reduce resource consumption and CO2 emissions.
  • ZF REMAN parts offer quality equal to or exceeding new parts.
  • Sustainability strategy supports circular economy goals.

ZF REMAN: Sustainable Product Line

ZF Aftermarket’s launch of the ZF REMAN label emphasizes its commitment to sustainability. Remanufacturing plays a crucial role by conserving raw materials and reducing CO2 emissions. All ZF REMAN products undergo industrial remanufacturing processes at ZF’s certified facilities. This ensures that each part meets or exceeds the original equipment standards, with worn elements replaced and performance-enhancing upgrades added when necessary.

Guaranteed Quality:
Each ZF REMAN part is tested to meet the same quality standards as new parts, and the warranty period is identical, ensuring that both workshops and end customers can trust the performance and reliability of these remanufactured products.

CorExpedia: Efficient Part Return System

ZF’s CorExpedia is an innovative platform designed to facilitate the return of used vehicle parts, a critical step in the remanufacturing process. Initially developed for WABCO-branded parts in Europe, it has now expanded to include SACHS-branded products. CorExpedia enables wholesalers and workshops to return used parts (cores) with ease through a user-friendly, internet-based system.

The platform’s efficiency allows for quick deposit refunds and offers detailed tracking of return status and core bank management, ensuring transparency and convenience for users.

ZF’s Sustainability Commitment

ZF Aftermarket’s initiatives align with the company’s broader sustainability goals, contributing to the circular economy by reducing resource consumption and extending product life cycles. As Tomasz Galazka, Head of Remanufacturing Strategy, states: “With ZF REMAN and CorExpedia, we want to offer customers even easier access to our remanufactured products.

By expanding its remanufactured parts portfolio, ZF continues to make strides in resource conservation and emission reduction, playing a vital role in the global push for a more sustainable automotive industry.
