Vance Street Capital LLC, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm, has announced the rebranding of its aviation brands under Victor Sierra Aviation Holdings LLC (VS Aviation) and the acquisition of Aviation Products Systems, Inc. (APS). This strategic move enhances VS Aviation’s portfolio by expanding its proprietary PMA offering into the wheel and brakes segment for general and business aviation.
Key Highlights:
- VS Aviation was formed in October 2021 with McFarlane Aviation, a diversified manufacturer of new and aftermarket aviation components.
- Vance Street added Tempest Aero Group (TAG) in 2022, further strengthening its aviation portfolio.
- Three additional tuck-in acquisitions under VS Aviation include Airforms, Great Planes Fuel Metering, and PMA Products, enhancing capabilities in PMA parts, MRO services, and fuel system components.
- Latest acquisition: Aviation Products Systems, Inc. (APS), a supplier of replacement wheel & brake components and custom hose kits for general aviation aircraft.
VS Aviation’s CEO, Scott Still, expressed that the APS acquisition adds a significant new pillar to the company’s portfolio, allowing them to expand into the wheel and brake segment. Pat McNamara, President of APS, highlighted that partnering with VS Aviation will broaden their reach and better support customers.
