TMD Friction, a leader in brake friction products, has announced strategic partnerships to enhance its distribution in Italy, marking a significant step in its market expansion efforts. This collaboration involves Aldo Romeo and Autocom Palermo for the distribution of Textar and Don braking solutions, further solidifying TMD Friction’s presence in the Italian aftermarket following its acquisition by Aequita.

TMD Friction Expands Italian Market

“In line with the programme to diversifying the distribution of our braking brands in Italy, we are pleased to announce two new partnerships with Aldo Romeo and Autocom, important distributors for the Italian aftermarket,” Adrian Dulea, TMD Friction Business Development Manager South & Eastern Europe, expressed his enthusiasm about the new collaborations.

Aldo Romeo Spa, with over 80 years in the sector, distributes Textar and Don products across Italy through nine logistics platforms. Marinella Romeo, president and CEO of Aldo Romeo, highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership, “The introduction of the prestigious Don and Textar brands… enriches our offering of brake system components.”

Autocom will distribute Textar brake friction products throughout Sicily from its central warehouse. Manlio La Rosa, CEO of Autocom, underscored the significance of this collaboration, stating it “confirms our commitment to creating meaningful partnerships.”
