Engineers and researchers have less than two weeks to submit abstracts for the 44th Annual SAE Brake Colloquium & Exhibition. The submission deadline is February 16, 2026.
The event takes place September 20-23, 2026, in Palm Desert, California, and remains North America’s premier gathering for brake technology professionals. The Technical Program Committee encourages those with new research, case studies, or technology developments to submit their work now.

The committee is seeking presentations across a broad range of topics, including:

- Wheel bearings and seals
- Commercial vehicle, railway, and high-performance applications
- Braking advances in electric, hybrid, and ICE vehicles
- NVH advancements
- Brake emissions and Euro 7 compliance
- Testing and measurement methodologies
- CAE and advances in virtual technologies
- AI, machine learning, and generative AI applications
- Integration of brakes with ADAS, AVS, and CAV systems
- XIL (model/software/hardware) in the loop
- Mechatronics impacts
- System safety for vehicle deceleration and immobilization

- Notification of acceptance: March 30, 2026
- Peer review period: March 30 – July 13, 2026
- Final manuscripts and copyright due: July 27, 2026

Abstracts for the SAE Brake Colloquium must be submitted online and assigned to only one session. Note that written-only submissions are not accepted—all authors must present their work in person. Previously published papers are not eligible.
