CHULLORA, Australia — Volkswagen Group Australia Pty Ltd. has recalled certain 2021 model-year Volkswagen Passat models due to a potential issue with the vehicles’ brake pedal.

According to the Australian Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications website post concerning the Passat recall, the brake pedal may become loose from the brake servo due to a loose connection nut. Should this occur, the brake pedal will no longer function leading to a reduction in braking performance and vehicle handling.
