FMSI Elects Jason Lang as Board Chairman

The Friction Materials Standards Institute has elected Jason Lang of ADVICS North America to a two-year term as Chairman of the Board, with Skip Carroll moving to Past Chairman.

The Friction Materials Standards Institute (FMSI) has elected Jason Lang of ADVICS North America to a two-year term as Chairman of the Board. The vote took place at the trade organization’s annual meeting in Naples, Florida, during its FMSI Brake Weekend event. Founded in 1948, FMSI created the standard part-numbering system used across the brake and clutch friction-materials industry.

Carroll and Carney Recognized for Service

Outgoing Chairman Skip Carroll of Momentum USA was recognized during the FMSI Brake Weekend event for his leadership over the past two years. Carroll will continue serving on the board as Past Chairman.

FMSI President Frank Oliveto also recognized Bill Carney of FDP Friction for many years of service as both a former Chairman and Treasurer. Carney remains active on the board of directors.
