AUBURN HILLS, Mich. –Bosch aftermarket group has recently donated hundreds of original-equipment (OE) brake pad kits to support the expanded FMSI (Friction Materials Standards Institute) office and parts library in Auburn Hills Mich.

“Bosch was more than happy to donate these OE sets to FMSI,” said Dr. Mark Phipps, Director of Engineering – Brakes North America. “it has been a goal of the FMSI board to have a full parts library of all 2,397 FMSI D number applications.”
Dr Phipps is also an officer and board member of the organization.
“This is a wonderful and very generous donation and represents tremendous progress establishing our parts library,” said FMSI President Frank Oliveto.

FMSI created the standard part numbering system for Brake and Clutch facings.
