Momentum USA has released more than 100 new brake component part numbers across its AmeriPLATINUM, AmeriPRO, and VGX product lines, expanding aftermarket coverage by more than 80 million vehicles in operation. The Richmond, Virginia–based manufacturer announced the May 2026 part number update on its company blog, adding eight AmeriPLATINUM pads, four AmeriPRO pads, 72 coated rotors, 20 VGX pads, and new AmeriPRO brake shoes and electronic wear sensors. Application coverage spans popular domestic and European vehicles including the Buick Encore and Ford Transit.
Highlights
- Eight new AmeriPLATINUM and four new AmeriPRO brake pad numbers add coverage for more than 6 million vehicles in operation
- 72 new rotor numbers released under the AmeriPRO coated and AmeriPRO R90 Euro coated lines
- 20 new VGX brake pad numbers expand the company’s value-tier ceramic and metallic friction range
- Total vehicle coverage increases by more than 80 million when pads, rotors, shoes, and sensors are combined
Brake Pad Expansion Across AmeriPLATINUM and AmeriPRO
The 12 new AmeriBRAKES disc pad numbers split between the company’s premium AmeriPLATINUM tier and its mid-tier AmeriPRO line. Application examples cited in the release include the Buick Encore and Ford Transit, two high-volume nameplates in the U.S. car parc. Momentum says the added pad numbers cover more than 6 million additional vehicles in operation, though the company has not published the full SKU list outside its downloadable PDF.
This pad release follows Momentum’s January 2026 AmeriBRAKES catalog expansion, which added 31 AmeriPLATINUM, AmeriPRO, coated rotor, and wear-sensor part numbers for applications running through model year 2026.
Coated Rotor Lines Cover Domestic and European Applications
The 72 new rotor numbers are split between AmeriPRO coated rotors for North American applications and AmeriPRO R90 Euro coated rotors for European nameplates. The company reports that the protective coatings on both lines resist corrosion and extend service life in harsh weather, claims typical of mid-tier coated-rotor programs sold into the U.S. and Canadian aftermarket.
VGX Pads, Brake Shoes, and Wear Sensors Round Out the Release
The 20 new VGX brake pad numbers extend Momentum’s value-positioned friction line, which sits below the AmeriBRAKES tiers and targets price-sensitive installer and DIY channels. Alongside the pads, the May release introduces additional AmeriPRO brake shoes for drum-brake applications and electronic wear sensors that signal pad-replacement intervals. Momentum did not break out individual SKU counts for the shoes and sensors in its announcement.
Coverage for Fleet and Passenger Vehicle Maintenance
Momentum positions the May update as a service to repair shops, fleet managers, and warehouse distributors handling mixed domestic and European vehicle mixes. The 80-million-VIO coverage expansion follows a broader pattern of catalog growth across the company’s brands, including the late-2025 launch of the EPS Friction European premium brake pad line through Momentum’s family of companies.
The complete application list for the May release is available through Momentum USA’s downloadable parts document, distributed via the company’s marketing channels.
