Mercedes-Benz C-Class Earns Top Euro NCAP Rating

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class continues to build on the success of previous models, such as the EQE Sedan, EQE SUV, and E-Class, which also received high ratings in Euro NCAP’s assessments for driver assistance systems. These achievements further emphasize the brand’s commitment to safety and accident prevention.

According to Markus Schäfer, Member of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, “Safety is essential to Mercedes-Benz. Our top priority is to avoid or at least to reduce the severity of accidents in real-life traffic scenarios. We are proud that independent organizations such as Euro NCAP confirm the very high performance level of our assistance systems.”

Since 2020, Euro NCAP has carried out Assisted Driving Gradings to evaluate driver assistance systems, independently of their traditional safety ratings. The maximum available assistance equipment is tested, with assessments carried out in assistance competence and safety backup categories. In February 2024, Euro NCAP increased the criteria for collision-avoiding measures, ensuring even more rigorous testing of vehicle safety features.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is equipped with more than 40 driving assistance systems to enhance road safety for all users. The optional Driving Assistance Package Plus includes features like Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Lane Change Assist, Active Brake Assist, and PRE-SAFE® PLUS, among others. These systems contribute significantly to the overall safety of the vehicle, ensuring that both driver and passengers benefit from the latest advances in automotive technology.

The C-Class’s achievement in the Euro NCAP ratings reinforces Mercedes-Benz’s ongoing dedication to creating innovative safety systems designed to protect all road users.
