International Recalls 204 MV Trucks for ACC Service Brake Failure

International Motors recalls 204 MV trucks for ACC service brake failure in 26V084. Free ECU software update remedy. Owner letters mail April 13, 2026. VIN lookup starts April 6. NHTSA 26V084000.

International Motors, LLC is recalling 204 certain 2026-2027 International MV trucks. In Adaptive Cruise Control mode, the vehicles do not apply service brakes to decelerate or maintain a stationary brake hold. If the service brakes do not activate during an ACC braking event, stopping distance can increase without warning, increasing the risk of a crash, personal injury or death.

Highlights

  • Affected vehicles are equipped with Bendix Fusion 3 Collision Mitigation, ACC Stop & Driver Go, and Allison 2000 or 3000 Series Generation 6 transmissions.
  • No warning indicator alerts drivers that ACC functionality may be less effective or that service brakes do not activate.
  • Dealers will update the brake ECU software free of charge, with owner notification letters expected April 13, 2026.
