IAV Names Kenhard President of U.S. Division

NORTHVILLE, Mich.–IAV Automotive Engineering Inc. has named Mike Kenhard President of the auto industry supplier, which designs and tests brakes and traction control systems from concept to delivery.

Prior to joining IAV Inc., Kenhard held the position of Director of Engineering for AVL Powertrain Engineering Inc. He was responsible for all engineering departments for powertrain and vehicle development. Before becoming Director of Engineering he was with AVL for six years holding the position of Chief Engineer, responsible for the delivery of diesel and commercial vehicle engineering projects.

IAV is a unit of IAV GmbH. Customers include the Volkswagen Group, BMW, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Fiat, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Porsche and Toyota. Component manufacturer clients include Robert Bosch GmbH, Delphi, Continental AG, and ZF Group.

Kenhard has also held leadership positions in DENSO both in the UK and in the USA, where he was responsible for the engineering delivery of complex engine management and critical engine component systems. In total Mike worked for DENSO for 10 years.

Prior to joining DENSO he held positions at Ford and Cosworth Technologies in the UK, working on the delivery of production vehicle programs for the global market.

He earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, Honors Degree at Kingston University in the UK.
