TOKYO – Akebono Brake Industry Co., Ltd. has announced that all of the four Japanese factories which lost its IATF 16949 certification earlier this year, has regained this status.

The company’s Akebono Brake Fukushima Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Akebono Brake Iwatsuki Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Akebono Brake Sanyo Manufacturing Co., Ltd. most recently had the certifications for IATF 16949 reinstated.

The reinstatements followed ongoing audits conducted by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Limited (LRQA), the certification organization which had compiled the audits which led to the initial findings.
