Galfer, renowned for its braking technology, has been instrumental in this venture, providing the Desmo450 MX with its advanced Disc Wave® brake discs. These discs, known for their lightweight and high-performance design, are equipped with a 260 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc, exemplifying Galfer’s commitment to quality and innovation.

The partnership underscores Galfer’s 70-year legacy in braking systems, aligning with Ducati’s dedication to high standards and safety. Ducati’s selection of Galfer as its OEM supplier and technical racing partner highlights the latter’s reputation for excellence in the off-road racing sector.

The Desmo450 MX, developed in collaboration with motocross legends Tony Cairoli and Alessandro Lupino, promises to set new benchmarks in the motocross arena. It boasts a Desmo engine, superior to its European and Japanese counterparts in terms of rev range, and features cutting-edge design and technical solutions.

This collaboration between Ducati and Galfer aims to offer an unparalleled riding experience in motocross, blending exceptional design with outstanding performance. The Ducati Desmo 450MX, equipped with top-tier components, stands out in both aesthetics and functionality.

The Desmo450 MX, equipped by Galfer, will compete in the Italian Motocross Pro – Prestige MX1 Championship, piloted by the Ducati Corse R&D – Factory MX Team. This racing endeavor focuses on data acquisition and the further development of the Desmo450 MX, slated for production in the second half of 2025.
