Cummins-Meritor Resumes Brake Training Events

Cummins-Meritor®, a renowned provider of integrated drivetrain solutions, announces the return of their live, in-person aftermarket parts training sessions for 2024. Open to technicians nationwide, these sessions focus on heavy-duty commercial vehicle brake maintenance and repair, covering both cam and air disc brake systems. The training events will be held in 14 cities across the United States from June through November.

  • Event Duration: Each event offers morning and afternoon options, condensed into a 4-hour format.
  • Training Content: Focuses on brake adjustment, brake balance, automatic slack adjusters, reduced stopping distance (RSD), preventative maintenance and inspection, and diagnostic procedures.

“Our trainings cover critical areas such as brake adjustment, brake balance, automatic slack adjusters, reduced stopping distance (RSD), preventative maintenance and inspection, and diagnostic procedures,” said Joseph Baumer, technical training manager at Cummins-Meritor. “Our last regional training events were held in 2020 and we are proud to bring them back as part of our comprehensive aftermarket training offering.”

These in-person events complement Cummins-Meritor’s online training portal, BullPen, which provides a variety of on-demand training courses. This portal is accessible 24/7, allowing users to complete modules on a range of Meritor-branded products at their convenience.
