The transition to Aumovio merges Continental’s established reputation and technical prowess with a forward-looking vision for mobility innovation. Aumovio aims to deliver solutions for software-defined vehicles and meet the rising demand for safe, connected, and autonomous driving experiences, serving a broad global clientele.

Market analysis from Berylls predicts that the value of these solutions per vehicle will rise by 4.7% each year until 2029, outpacing global vehicle production growth, according to S&P Global Mobility forecasts. At Auto Shanghai 2025, Continental emphasized its “in the market for the market” strategy, spotlighting China’s role as the world’s largest and fastest-growing automotive market over the next five years.

With 30 years of operations in China and a workforce of 10,000, Continental generated 14% of its 2024 global sales there. The company showcased its Luna and Astra driver assistance systems, designed for China through the Horizon Continental Technology joint venture. Luna enhances safety and basic driving functions, while Astra offers advanced features like map-free assisted driving.

Aumovio’s planned listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in September 2025, pending approval on April 25, 2025, marks its next chapter as an independent entity focused on mobility’s future.
