Chris Wang will become Chief Executive Officer of Meneta Group effective October 1, 2026, succeeding Kim Oestergaard, who is leaving the Danish brake-component supplier after more than 12 years to pursue new career opportunities. The two executives confirmed the leadership transition in a joint letter to customers and partners this week, framing the handover as a continuation of the company’s current commercial and engineering relationships rather than a change in direction.

What Oestergaard Leaves Behind
According to the company, Meneta continued as a global supplier of NVH and fine-blanking products during Oestergaard’s tenure, including the brake shims and backing plates it produces for OE and aftermarket customers. The letter also credits him with the decision to localize manufacturing in the four regions where the company now operates.
Meneta describes the working standard set under Oestergaard as one built on customer relationships, transparency, innovation, and quality, and says that standard carries forward under Wang. In a separate LinkedIn post, the company thanked Oestergaard for his “outstanding leadership, dedication, and significant contribution to Meneta’s development and international growth over the past decade.”
What Changes for Customers
In the letter, Oestergaard and Wang state that day-to-day relationships with Meneta do not change. Commercial and engineering contacts and program managers stay in place, and Wang plans to meet customers in person over the coming months.
The letter identifies electrification, tighter NVH targets, and supply-chain localization as the pressures shaping the company’s next phase, saying these will demand speed and technical complexity beyond what the industry has seen before. Meneta’s stated goal is to be a partner to customers through that transition.
Oestergaard became Group CEO on January 1, 2019, when he succeeded Johnny Haakonsson, as The BRAKE Report reported at the time in its coverage of Meneta’s previous leadership change. The transition follows the company’s North American leadership appointments earlier this year, when Frank Oliveto and Chris Caza took regional roles.
