Carlisle Brake & Friction’s Suzhou facility has been awarded the Supplier Excellence Recognition (SER) Certification by Caterpillar Inc., marking a prestigious milestone in its global operations. This achievement places Carlisle’s Suzhou plant among an elite group of suppliers to have received this commendation since the SER program’s inception in 2022.
The SER Certification, introduced by Caterpillar to distinguish suppliers excelling in quality and operational performance, categorizes achievements into “Certified” and “Excellent” levels. Carlisle’s attainment of the Certified level underscores its commitment to maintaining superior quality standards and supporting Caterpillar’s strategic objectives for global expansion.
Doug Wagner, Global VP of Sales at Carlisle Brake & Friction, expressed pride in the recognition, attributing it to the “superior efforts and dedication of the entire Suzhou team.” This acknowledgment is not just a testament to the team’s hard work but also highlights Carlisle’s pivotal role in Caterpillar’s supply chain as a vital provider of brake, clutch, and transmission friction products.
Among Caterpillar’s vast network of 27,000 suppliers, only 250 were selected for this honor, with Carlisle standing out as the sole friction products manufacturer worldwide to receive the certification. This exclusivity further emphasizes Carlisle’s unique position and expertise in the friction product manufacturing sector.
