Brembo has made its GR-PRO braking system for mountain bikes and electric mountain bikes available across Europe through a network of selected distributors, led by a GR-PRO Kit that packages two calipers, two master cylinders, and steel braided hoses. The company says GR-PRO spans calipers, master cylinders, pads, discs, braided hoses, and a dedicated mineral oil, all developed to work together as a single system. According to Brembo, the kit brings enthusiasts the same braking system used in downhill racing.
What Does the GR-PRO Kit Include?
Brembo describes the GR-PRO Kit as the flagship of the range, aimed at the most demanding riders and the premium MTB and eMTB segment. The kit contains:
- Two calipers with pads
- Two brake master cylinders
- Steel braided hoses
- Two sets of replacement pads
- Installation components
Brake discs and mineral oil are sold separately.
Modular Architecture
The GR-PRO braking system uses a modular architecture, according to Brembo. Riders can configure their setup by selecting the components that best match their bike, riding style, and personal preferences.
Racing-Derived Technology
Brembo says GR-PRO transfers to off-road cycling a technology developed and refined through racing, including the company’s work in downhill racing. The company reports that the kit delivers precision, stability, and a consistent lever feel under stress, from technical descents to extreme conditions.
