LIVERPOOL, U.K. — Surface Transforms PLC, the UK-based internationally recognised developer, manufacturer and supplier of carbon-ceramic materials, announced the launch of a new carbon-ceramic brake disc kit for the McLaren 765LT supercar.

The McLaren 765 Long Tail (LT) is a high-performance machine built around the driver to deliver the ultimate driving experience, and the new Surface Transforms carbon-ceramic brake disc upgrade kit allows the enthusiast to take this awesome car to its limits with the ultimate track focused brake upgrade.

The kit uses proprietary next-generation carbon-ceramic material – CCST – to create lightweight, high-performance brake discs that are far superior technology compared to OEM brake discs in terms of heat management and overall lifetime.

The upgrade kit can be refurbished up to three times with an average expected lifespan of between 10-15,000 hard-use-track miles and has significant improvements in brake modulation and reduced brake pad wear due to approximately 200 degrees lower operating temperatures than standard original equipment discs.

Also, when using Surface Transforms upgrade kits, the driver will experience outstanding performance even from cold and will benefit from improved handling and driveability, reduced noise, vibration and harshness and improved overall performance in both dry and wet conditions.

The upgrade kit is 100-percent UK manufactured using Surface Transforms unique 3D matrix carbon-ceramic weave technology which produces a lighter, stronger and more durable product. The reduced weight is extremely beneficial to performance as its fitted to a rotating, un-sprung area of the car.

The upgrade kit is supplied as complete disc assemblies with all the parts required for easy fitment, which is backed by a dedicated UK technical sales team providing comprehensive aftersales care and support.

“The brake discs fitted to today’s high-performance supercars have to withstand track day induced heat levels but also be durable enough for long life road use – our new kit delivers both,” said Craig Couzens, Business Development Manager at Surface Transforms. “For any supercar owner and enthusiast, the technology found in the Surface Transforms discs is impressive both on and off the track with a reduced through-life cost and outstanding performance which for all McLaren owners, will be highly attractive benefits.”
