Brembo Greenance Plus Kit Debuts at Automechanika 2026

Brembo's Greenance Plus Kit, an LMD-coated aftermarket disc and pad set claiming up to 90% lower brake dust emissions, leads its Automechanika Frankfurt 2026 lineup alongside bio-based brake fluid and new calipers.

Brembo has introduced Greenance Plus Kit, an aftermarket brake disc and pad set the company says cuts brake dust emissions by up to 90% and disc surface wear by up to 80% compared with an equivalent uncoated cast-iron disc. The kit leads Brembo‘s lineup at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026, where the company is also showing a bio-based brake fluid, expanded disc and pad ranges, and a new caliper offering. Brembo positions Greenance Plus Kit as its answer to the Euro 7 brake emission requirements, arriving four years after the original Greenance Kit opened the company’s Beyond range.

How Does Greenance Plus Kit Reduce Brake Dust?

The technology is a nickel-free, dual-layer coating applied to the disc through Laser Metal Deposition (LMD). Brembo says the coating works with specifically engineered brake pads to increase disc durability without compromising braking performance, and describes the integrated disc-and-pad pairing as the key to the wear and emission reductions.

The coating can be applied across disc architectures, including integral, dual cast, lightweight and floating discs. Brembo says the kit suits a wide range of applications, from internal combustion engine vehicles to new energy vehicles and from passenger cars to light commercial vehicles.

Each disc carries Brembo’s Easy Check marking with the company logo. When the symbol disappears from the braking surface, the disc has reached its wear limit and must be replaced.

The performance figures come from Brembo’s own dyno bench testing, with the particulate reduction measured under the WLTP-Brake Cycle (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure). The company says its testing infrastructure includes a bench dedicated to measuring brake particulate emissions. The 85% environmental-impact figure comes from an LCA study Brembo says was verified by an independent third-party organization.

Euro 7 and the Beyond Range

“The introduction of Euro 7 represents an important milestone for the automotive industry, but for Brembo it confirms a path we embarked on years ago,” said Roberto Caravati, Aftermarket GBU Chief Operating Officer of Brembo. “Through continuous investments in research, testing capabilities and innovative technologies, we have anticipated the industry’s evolution by developing solutions that reduce brake particulate emissions while preserving the performance, safety and driving experience expected from Brembo products. Four years after pioneering a new approach in the aftermarket with the Greenance Kit, Greenance Plus Kit represents its natural evolution, bringing further advancements in durability and the reduction of brake particulate emissions, while preserving the safety and performance expected from Brembo products.”

Greenance Plus Kit joins the Beyond family, which already includes the Greenance Kit and the EV Kit. Brembo says both Greenance products are designed to reduce environmental impact and extend component life, with the Plus version delivering a higher level of wear reduction and brake dust control.

What Else Is Brembo Showing at Automechanika 2026?

Greenance Plus Kit anchors a broader Automechanika Frankfurt 2026 presentation organized around the principle that every vehicle deserves Brembo, spanning bicycles, motorcycles and scooters through passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and commercial vehicles. Beyond the copper-free pad range and Greenance brake fluid previewed ahead of the show, Brembo detailed the following:

  • Greenance brake fluid: developed with 84% bio-based materials, stated as 84 kg of ISCC PLUS-certified material per 100 kg of product, with a Product Carbon Footprint calculated to ISO 14067 methodology and a calculation method externally validated by TÜV Rheinland.
  • Discs: High Carbon discs for driving comfort and reduced noise, UV-coated discs for corrosion resistance and easier installation, and patented PVT (Pillar Venting Technology) discs for heat dissipation and thermal-stress resistance. Brembo says 75% of the passenger car discs it sells in Europe are produced in its European plants.
  • Pads: now available with dedicated fitting accessories, and fully aligned with the industry’s move to 100% copper-free formulations. Brembo says 85% of its passenger car pads sold globally are produced at BRGP, its manufacturing facility in Shandong, China, dedicated to aftermarket pads.
  • Calipers: a new offering in what Brembo calls the “Newman” segment, plus an upgraded remanufactured range with an anti-corrosion treatment that raises salt-spray resistance to 240 hours, which the company says matches Original Equipment standards.

Brembo is also unveiling a redesigned exhibition stand at the show, building on the visual identity it introduced in recent years.
