AP Racing Launches Six-Piston PRO SPORT Caliper

AP Racing has unveiled the new six-piston variant of its PRO SPORT Range of profiled brake calipers at the 2024 Professional MotorSport World Expo (PMWE). This latest addition offers a more advanced and cost-effective braking solution tailored for entry-level rally and race competitions, following the successful launch of the four-piston version earlier this year.

Key Highlights:

  • Six-piston evolution of the PRO SPORT range provides enhanced braking performance.
  • Built using internally ported construction with stainless steel pistons.
  • Features a hard-wearing anodized surface for increased durability.
  • Designed to support cost-conscious motorsport series, including R2 and R4 rally.

The PRO SPORT line aims to provide an affordable braking solution for motorsport enthusiasts, bridging the gap between professional-level performance and grassroots affordability. The newly launched six-piston version maintains the internally ported design of its predecessor but adds improved performance dynamics for increased racing efficiency.

Manufactured at AP Racing’s state-of-the-art research and development facility in the UK, the six-piston caliper sets a new standard in competitive braking technology. It features an anodized surface treatment for extended durability and is engineered to be a reliable choice for demanding race conditions.

The 2024 Professional MotorSport World Expo, held in Cologne, Germany from November 13-14, is Europe’s premier motorsport and automotive engineering event. It features hundreds of exhibitors and draws thousands of attendees, providing a platform for showcasing new technologies, keynote presentations, and forums focused on performance innovations.

AP Racing’s Managing Director, David Hamblin, remarked, “PMWE is the perfect place to unveil our latest addition to the PRO SPORT range. The expo offers us an opportunity to showcase the newest race product from our extensive caliper range to such a dedicated motorsport audience.”

Hamblin added, “Our six-piston variant has been developed using unmatched motorsport experience and extensive R&D. It brings cutting-edge braking technology to grassroots rally and motorsport in a cost-effective package.”
