AP Racing, a globally recognized brake and clutch supplier, has announced the production of its new RadiCALTM X range of forged steel calipers. The company will offer two versions: a heavy-duty caliper designed for performance pick-up trucks and SUVs with 17-inch wheels, and a super-duty caliper for heavier trucks and armored vehicles.
Key Highlights:
- RadiCALTM X caliper range offers forged steel construction, providing a robust braking solution.
- Two variants available: heavy-duty for performance vehicles and super-duty for heavier trucks.
- Initially showcased at SEMA Show 2021 and now refined through extensive research and development.
The six-piston forged steel caliper, first unveiled at the SEMA Show in 2021, is a pioneering product in the industry, offering superior braking performance for vehicles weighing up to 7.5 tonnes. With its focus on high durability and control, the heavy-duty variant is crafted for performance pick-up trucks and SUVs, enhancing braking control to improve handling and responsiveness.

The super-duty variant, meanwhile, is specifically engineered for use in heavier trucks and armored vehicles, where it can withstand significant braking loads. This makes it particularly suitable for environments where safety and durability are crucial.
David Hamblin, Managing Director of AP Racing, stated: “Our 2021 showcase marked a pivotal moment for forged brake calipers, demonstrating the wider potential of forged caliper technology. Since then, we have built upon that innovation – refining and enhancing the design through continuous research and development.”
Hamblin continued, “The caliper range establishes a new industry standard, these advancements underscore AP Racing’s unwavering commitment to delivering superior braking solutions that meet the evolving needs of all our customers.”
