One of the standout products at ZF’s booth was the WABCO Central Brake Unit, which will be available as a remanufactured variant under the ZF REMAN label starting in 2025. This component is crucial for the Electronic Braking System (EBS) in commercial vehicles, electronically controlling all braking components to reduce stopping distances and enhance brake stability. By offering this unit as a remanufactured product, ZF provides a sustainable option that meets the same high standards as new parts, contributing to waste reduction and resource conservation.
ZF Aftermarket has significantly expanded its range of remanufactured transmissions for passenger cars, now boasting over 2,000 part numbers. This extensive portfolio caters to both conventional and hybrid vehicles, ensuring customers have access to high-quality, sustainable alternatives. Each remanufactured transmission undergoes rigorous testing to guarantee performance and reliability equivalent to new parts.
In response to the growing market for electric and hybrid vehicles, ZF introduced its “Maintain – Repair – Replace” concept. This approach supports the entire lifecycle of electrified powertrains. The “Maintain” aspect includes an expanded portfolio of ZF Lifeguard eFluid and ZF Lifeguard Hybrid oils, along with oil change kits, covering more than 60% of electrified vehicles in Europe. For “Repair,” ZF offers comprehensive kits for hybrid and all-electric cars, with plans to further expand this range. In the “Replace” sector, the company leverages its remanufacturing expertise to provide high-performance solutions.
Additionally, ZF announced the expansion of its digital platform, CorExpedia, to include more brands such as ZF and TRW, alongside WABCO and SACHS. This platform simplifies the core return process, offering a convenient collection service at workshops and enhancing customer experience.
ZF Aftermarket invites attendees to visit their booth at Rematec Amsterdam 2025, Hall 8, Booth 08.220, to explore the full range of ZF REMAN products. “Our newly updated Reman catalogue materializes our entire reman offering, presenting a deep and broad portfolio of ZF REMAN products for both passenger cars and commercial vehicles—all in one place,” said Tomasz Galazka, Head of Remanufacturing Strategy and Business Development at ZF Aftermarket.
