Wilwood Engineering has released a new lineup of big brake kits engineered for the JDM Nissan Skyline R32 chassis. The kits cover the iconic GT-R (1989–94) and also fit the U.S.-market Nissan 300ZX (1990–96). Front and rear configurations offer two rotor sizes and multiple caliper options.
Highlights
- Six-piston forged aluminum calipers up front pair with four-piston rear units for bias-correct stopping power across the Skyline R32 and 300ZX platforms.
- Two rotor sizes — 12.88-inch and 14.00-inch fronts — give owners flexibility for street, autocross, and track day use.
- Full OE compatibility with factory ABS, electronic controls, and the master cylinder eliminates the need for system modifications.
- Pricing starts at $2,399.00, with kits available in gloss red or gloss black powder coat and additional color options.
Front Caliper and Rotor Options
Wilwood offers two competition-proven front caliper choices for the Skyline R32 and 300ZX. The Superlite FNSL6R is a forged aluminum six-piston unit with reduced weight and high strength. Alternatively, the Aerolite AERO6 six-piston caliper features a stiffened center bridge for added rigidity.
Both calipers use a modern FEA body design. This approach increases structural strength and resistance to deflection, resulting in improved pedal feel. Owners can pair either caliper with 12.88-inch or 14.00-inch vented rotors measuring 1.25 inches wide.
Rear Brake Configuration
Rear kits use the Superlite FNSL4R, a forged aluminum four-piston caliper. It is bias-matched to the front calipers for balanced braking performance. Rear rotors measure 13.50 inches by 0.81 inches wide and feature 36 internal vanes for efficient heat dissipation.
Rotor and Pad Combinations
Wilwood provides two rotor surface options across front and rear kits. GTB slotted rotors ship with BP-20 brake pads, which deliver higher friction for autocross and track events. SRP drilled and slotted rotors come with BP-10 pads, offering smooth response and longer wear for street use.
All rotors are made from performance-grade iron alloy. Additionally, black E-coat protection comes standard on both GTB and SRP rotor faces. Front rotors incorporate 48 curved vanes, while rear units use 36 vanes for cooling efficiency.
