CAMARILLO Calif. — Wilwood Disc Brakes has announced new Tactical Xtreme rear big brake kits for 1999-2018 GM 1500 trucks and SUVs. Models include Sierra 1500 and Silverado trucks and Avalanche, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon and Escalade SUVs.
These new rear kits complement Wilwood’s front six piston brake kit (P/N 140-13876) for an added margin of brake performance and increased confidence for all types of high-demand highway, off-road, towing, hauling, and commercial applications.
Forged aluminum TX4R Tactical Xtreme calipers deliver more clamping power with increased rigidity to reduce deflection and provide consistent braking performance. Kits include SmartPad BP-Q ceramic mixture, dual-sport medium friction brake pads for normal street or high-demand driving. Large 16.00” x 1.25” E-coat single-piece disc/drum-style iron alloy rotors have 48 vanes for better airflow and greater thermal capacity.
Engineered to work with the factory master cylinder, on-board computer systems, and internal drum parking brake. Calipers come finished in gloss red or black powder coat, plus 22 optional colors (additional charges may apply).
MSRP: starts at $2,791.54.
