Wilwood Intros Parking-Brake Calipers

CAMARILLO, Calif. — Wilwood Engineering has added new MC4 stand-alone mechanical parking-brake caliper sizes, now available for 11.00-inch-14.00-inch diameter rotors in .25inch-1.10-inch widths.

The larger units are sized for use on the rear of many cars and trucks. The newly released smaller units are ideal for various powersports or similar machines with .25-inch or .38-inch wide rotors.

The Wilwood MC4 mechanical caliper is constructed of die-cast and forged aluminum for lighter weight, with a steel bracket and lever arm for strength. Right and left-handed options are available each with a lever cartridge that can be clocked in three locations for optimum positioning and ease of cable routing.

The 1.19-inch aluminum piston is fully dust booted to keep moisture and debris out. These compact calipers are included with many Wilwood rear brakes kits but are also popular for adapting to custom projects.

Caliper bodies are available in gloss red or black powder coat, or Type-III hard anodized coating.

MSRP: starts at $149.13.
