Textar Adds 153 Brake Products, 43 First-to-Markets

Textar launched 153 new braking products in 2025, including 43 first-to-market releases, expanding its portfolio to over 8,318 items for passenger and commercial vehicles.

Textar expanded its aftermarket braking portfolio by 153 products in 2025. The premium brake friction brand achieved 43 first-to-market releases. In each case, Textar was the only premium brand offering brake pads and discs for a specific vehicle application.

2025 Product Expansion Breakdown

The 153 new additions spanned a wide range of braking categories:

  • 49 passenger car brake pads
  • 28 brake discs
  • 35 ABS sensors
  • 5 commercial vehicle brake pads
  • 5 wear indicators
  • 4 brake shoes
  • 2 brake drums
  • 1 drum brake lining
  • 24 additional products, including brake fluid, lubricants, accessories, and tools

Textar draws on more than 100 years of friction expertise and over 80 years of OE braking experience. The brand is backed by TMD Friction, a major brake friction manufacturer.

TMD Friction invests €30 million annually in research and development. The company operates four global R&D centers. That investment supports Textar’s ability to deliver rapid first-to-market coverage across diverse vehicle platforms.
